See which Ford Mustang wins, after Autoweek races a 2015 Mustang GT against a 2014 Mustang GT. Some Mustang fans might be surprised? Come to find out the 2015 Ford Mustang is the winner! Even though the 2015 Mustang ways 54 more pounds, the new Mustang was able to beat out the old one by basically a second. A lot of Mustang fans are pretty worried that the extra weight was going to slow the new Mustang down, I think most are going to feel reluctant after watching this incredible video showing both Mustangs race head-to-head in a drag race. Thank God for YouTube!!!
We all know that the 2015 Ford Mustang is going to be the big kid at the 2014 SEMA Show. But we don't know of all the different designed Mustangs that set to grace the stage. One particular company, Classic Design Concepts, has just released their own renderings of what they call the Outlaw Package for the 2015 Ford Mustang.
Never heard of this aftermarket company? Well it's based out of Wixom Michigan, where it's said to be one of the premier names in the world of Mustang modifications. They will first show off a red 2015 Mustang convertible in the Ford Motor Company area while a yellow Mustang coupe will debut in the Classic Design Concepts booth. Both custom Mustangs will feature the Outlaw Package, which consists of a unique body kit, which modifies any 2015 Mustang from the front to back. Also featured are a set of 20 inch Flow Form forged wheels.
And if you want more performance, Classic Design Concepts can add a high-performance exhaust system as well as a Ford Racing supercharger package for a super boost in horsepower. I think it's going to be pretty exciting this year at SEMA, who knows how many different custom 2015 Mustang there will be. I guarantee the Ford Mustang will definitely sell after car enthusiasts get their first glance at these custom souped-up 2015 Ford Mustangs.
This is Petty’s Garage new custom blue S550 2015 Mustang that will be shown off at this year's SEMA show in 2014. Pretty frickin sweet isn't it? I dig the famous blue paint and a discrete No. 43. This is currently just a rendering, when the car is officially finished, Petty’s Garage S550 Mustang will be auctioned off at Barrett Jackson with all the proceeds benefiting Victory Junction, dedicated to helping the chronically ill children that attend summer camp. One of my favorite elements of this car, is the blue and black rims, they absolutely look stunning!
Galpin Auto Sports is celebrating 50 years of Mustang with this special edition golden anniversary Mustang set to debut at this year's SEMA show. I think most will agree, the custom S550 Mustang looks stunning. You will notice the restyled front and rear fascia with gold motif, as well as the metallic gold-flecked black paint and gold badges. It's one unique Mustang to say the least, Galpin has always impressed us with their one-of-a-kind stylings. I always thought gold looks gaudy on cars, but Galpin Auto Sports got away with it nicely. You will notice there powder coated the big brake calipers in front gold as well. I guarantee enthusiasts at this year's 2014 SEMA show will be impressed.
As we are inching closer to SEMA, we're getting's sneak peek previews of all the different custom S550 Mustangs that will debut at the custom car show. This one has been souped up by Gibson Performance, what an incredible Mustang huh? I'm using out for two tone paint jobs, but this one doesn't look too bad. Stay tuned for more custom S550 Mustangs in this upcoming SEMA show.
I think most Mustang fans will agree that the engine bay of the 2015 Ford Mustang is pretty clean, other than that hideous bubble of a reservoir for the coolant. To be honest with you, I've never seen a coolant reservoir look so damn ugly, it's like the first thing that sticks out when someone pops the hood on the new 2015 Mustang. But now it can be easily fixed with MMR’s custom black anodized coolant reservoir, made out of 6061 Aluminum that lightweight and strong. Some suggested on the Mustang forums that they will just plasti-dip their stock coolant reservoir to take care of the fugliness. That's not a bad idea, especially since a plasti-dip can only costs $6 dollars compared to the $199.99 MMR coolant reservoir. Anyways I hope you like this recent news about an aftermarket coolant reservoir as an option.
Motor Trend’s Ignition, this includes Carlos Lagos and Randy Pobst, get to test drive a brand spanking new 2015 Mustang EcoBoost. After Motor Trend put the car on the dyno, the achieved peak rear wheel numbers were 279 horsepower and 295 lb-ft torque. Not too shabby, but Motor Trend found out most the power is in the lower RPM band of the new turbocharged 2.3 liter four cylinder. When drag raced at the track, Motor Trend was able to achieve 14.1 seconds at 97.8mph in the quarter-mile. While being able to 60-0 brake at 106 feet!
And after running a full course track at Willow Springs international Raceway the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost turned an not too bad 1:27:85, righter under the 2014 Subaru WRX. You might notice I keep on using not too bad not too shabby lingo, well that's because I think that's the best way to describe the new EcoBoost Mustang, and Motor Trend exclaims this. While it's no V8 comparison, it still has a little go it makes it worthwhile, perfect for just enjoying a drive around town and cruising.
Overall they said it's a big upgrade over last year's model, both in handling and performance. The main racecar driver said "the body structure feels better and performs better than last years model." So overall does the 2015 Mustang EcoBoost of up to the hype? I would say so, but make sure you just watch the Motor Trend test drive for yourself. It just sucks they only got the test drive a 6 speed automatic transmission.
I checked down in the comment section of video to see what people have to say on YouTube, one car enthusiast remarked "people who love cars would never buy this one. There will be some dope tuning for the v8 though." While this was just one negative comment, there are plenty of positive ones. I for one think he is wrong and it's possible that there will be all types of different performance modifications to make this EcoBoost Mustang to perform better than the V8 version. Just watch, I guarantee! You do a tune, aftermarket free-flowing exhaust, better intake, and headers!!! You're going to see a lot more power and better numbers at the track. I wouldn't be surprised if someone will be able to dip this car into the 12s with just bolt ons.
JC Designs as painted another pretty rendering of the soon to be 2015 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350. Officially Ford has a release the full photos of the car yet, but there has been big bits of information and spy photos released lately. So JC Designs has taken into consideration the curves from the spy photos as well as the design leaks and this is what they have come up with. Overall I love the design, the monster hood scoop in the middle is what the 2015 Mustang needed. The blacked out rims and custom front fascia really gives the muscle car more of a aggressive look. Hopefully the new Shelby GT350 look something like this rendering, JC Designs did a terrific job.
Retired SSgt. Kelly Foster has been paying little by little to have his old classic 1965 Ford Mustang fixed up, it's been tough, but the Mustang is slowly coming together. But everything was finalized, when some strangers heard a fellow war veteran was struggling to restore his classic Mustang. Margaret and Timor Martin out of Pearland Texas decided to help out the Iraq war veteran, they were able to raise enough money to get the classic vehicle completely restored. Martins said they felt like giving back to those who serve the country. They feel these guys are underpaid and underappreciated, they themselves come from strong military families. It truly was touching to see the final unveiling!!!
Check out these new immaculate photos of the 2015 Ford Mustang, photos were taken of both the blue and white 2015 Mustang. I really like that tunnel shot, some call this the bat cave, I think this new Mustang will really become a legendary car just like its ancestors. I like the overall design of the new Mustang, but I think the hood is missing something, but Ford made take care of that with the Shelby GT350. I guess we'll find out in the future, plus you have all these different aftermarket companies coming out with custom hoods as well.
